About
Music belongs to everyone.
Sonaru was born from a simple idea: learning an instrument shouldn't depend on where you live, who you know, or how much you earn.
We connect students and teachers across the world through whatever format works best — a lesson in a teacher's studio down the street, a live video call across oceans, or a pre-recorded course you can work through at your own pace.
Teachers are independent professionals who set their own rates, availability, and services. Students keep control of their schedules. We handle the rest — booking, messaging, secure payments via Stripe — so you can focus on what actually matters: making music.

Meet the Founder
Massimo Corich
Founder, Sonaru
I've been playing music for 12 years. Guitar, drums, upright bass, and trumpet. Classical, jazz, rock, blues, country, and rockabilly. I've spent a long time as a student and I know how that process works from both sides.
I taught guitar for a while, and helped other musicians figure out how to build a teaching business. That's where the idea for Sonaru came from.
Most music teachers either work through companies that take a big cut of what they earn, or they go freelance and end up buried in things that have nothing to do with teaching. Invoicing, marketing, chasing payments. It's a lot of admin for someone who just wants to teach.
I built Sonaru to take care of that side of things. The idea started in 2024 and it took a while to get here, but it's live now. Teachers can advertise, manage bookings, handle invoices, and message students, all in one place. So they can stay freelance and actually focus on teaching.
